THE HOME DEPOT CENTER :

5850 feet of racetrack will take over the grounds of the L.A. soccer stadium. Parking lots and playing field will host the rally event's tortuous course of asphalt and dirt.

X GAMES WELCOMES RALLY:

X Games 12 is primed and ready to get the grandest Action Sports competition of the year underway. This year, X Games is bringing Rally Car Racing to the masses as the newest sport to be added to X Games 12. Rally Car Racing will take place live on Saturday, Aug. 5 at The Home Depot Center and will be televised live on ABC at 5 pm EST.

Rally Car Racing is a great fit for the X Games as this sport is like no other motorsport. X Games 12 has announced that Rally Car Racing drivers and co-drivers will be racing for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals as well as a prize purse of $110,000. The twelve Rally Cars participating in the first Rally Car Racing event will all be awarded prize money.


DRIVERS TO WATCH:

Travis Pastrana, Ken Block, Colin McRae and Tanner Foust are just a few of the Rally America superstars who will be competing in X Games 12.



Colin McRae and Co-Driver Nicky Grist:
“I’m really excited about coming over to the U.S. to participate in the Summer X-Games,” says McRae. "To be part of the first X-Games that includes a rally element will be special and I’m looking forward to matching myself against the Rally America regulars." Look out for the 1995 World Rally Champion and his Co-Driver at the X Games in their gold Subaru WRX STI.

Ken Block and Co-Driver Alex Gelsomino:
Ken Block's 2005 Rally America "Rookie of the Year" title confirms his skills. Although he was a complete novice less than two years ago, Block is now one of only two factory drivers in the United States.

Travis Pastrana and Co-Driver Christian Edstrom:

Travis Pastrana is world famous because of his success on two wheels. He has dominated freestyle motocross at the X-Games, while being a top contender in the AMA Supercross Championship. Now the 21 year old motorsports phenom is competing to add a rally gold to his collection of 9 X Games medals.

Tanner Foust and Co-Driver Scott Crouch:
